Sky Walk Adventure (Crown Regency Hotel)

This would be the highlight of our day. You guys should try Skywalk adventure! We bought the Php 950 package. It includes Dinner buffet at Sparkz resto, 4D Show, 2 rides (Skywalk and Edge Coaster), plus souvenir. You can also check out the sky observatory where you can see the Cebu's sky line.

Sky Observatory

Before we had our rides, we watched the 4D show first. There are three movies to choose from. Each show runs for 15minutes. We watched the "Don't take my chocolate". I was a bit disappointed with the 4D show. Not really entertaining at all.

Sky walk and Edge Coaster were the best! We didn't have picture from our own cam during the activity cause they have photographers there. You can have it printed for Php 230/ea. damn expensive right? oh well, business. Just a tip, if you're going to do sky walk, do it at night. The sky line is perfect! You get to see the whole Cebu proper. Lights are amazing. And oh! don't forget to wear rubber shoes. If you don't have, you could buy socks there for Php 20 and they will lend you shoes.

Sparkz Restaurant

Japanese, Western and  Filipino dishes are available. We ate a lot, as in A LOT. We made ourselves hungry the whole day so we could dig in for food during dinner. I tasted all the desserts (except for the halo halo) Didn't like their sansrival, beyond disappointing (cause it's my favorite! :c )

You can also enjoy there Zip line and Tower Zip!

Must Visit places in Cebu 2

May 31, 2011

After Fort San Pedro, we went to Tabo-an Market. The place is popular for pasalubong items and dried fish like pusit, danggit etc. From Fort San Pedro, taxi fare was only Php 70php. As you have noticed, we've been riding taxi starting from our first day. We can't ride the jeepney cause we don't know the routes and roads. Taxi fare really consumed a lot from our pocket money.

I just bought Danggit and Pusit. 1 kilo costs around Php 600 above but you can have 1/4 kilo at around Php 178. As for the dried mangos, the cheapest is Php 39. I didn't buy dried mangos and otap there. I opted to buy at Shamrock, the famous pasalubong store in Cebu.

Next stop: Taoist Temple

Taoist Temple is accessible only with cab cause it's a little bit far. The place is so sacred and solemn. When you go there, ask the taxi driver to wait for you cause there are no available taxi outside. We tried the incense and the two stones that you have to drop if you have a question. We were so careful with our actions to show some respect.

After Taoist, we went to Ayala Terraces to have lunch. The mall is like a Greenbelt and Glorietta combined. Nothing special there.

Must Visit places in Cebu

May 31, 2011

I got up at around 6:30am cause it will be a jam-packed day for us. I'll be the one responsible for touring my friends and I am confident that we will achieve our itinerary for today. First thing, we went to Crown Regency to buy tickets for Sky Adventure. I have read in forums that you can go there early to purchase but unfortunately, they told us that the cashier will only be available at 2pm. No biggie cause Crown Regency is just walking distance from our suite.

First stop: Basilica del Sto. Nino

When we got inside, there was an on-going mass. As they say, if it's your first time in a certain church, you can have a wish. There was a queue for the Santo Nino, located at the back part of the church. You can also buy some souvenirs inside the church (left side entrance)

Second stop: Magellan's Cross

20 to 30 steps away from Sto. Nino church.

Third stop: Fort San Pedro

We asked people for directions going to Fort San Pedro. It's a 5 minute walk from Sto. Nino Church. The weather was not so good for it is so damn hot :| Well, better than rainy of course. The place is just like Fort Santiago. You have to pay Php 30 for entrance fee. You get to feel how ancient the place is. A perfect spot for pictorial.

Larsians Cebu

Our friend has finally arrived. Zest Air really sucked it cause the flight, if I remembered it right, was delayed for almost 3 hours! How uncool was that? Well anyway it doesn't matter. Since we were all very hungry, and as first part of our itinerary, we went to Larsian to have dinner.

Since t'was already late (11pm) there were only few people eating out. The picture above is what you call "pu-so" (rice) it costs Php 3. They will first give you 15 pieces and you only pay for how many you have consumed.

You'll be surprised for there are no spoon and fork available. They will just give you plastics! Cool isn't it? I prefer eating with my bare hands, no need for plastic anymore.

There were a lot of stalls and grilled whatevers like isaw, barbeque, chicken skin etc.. Eating there is not really pricey at all. I strongly recommend that you guys try it there. It's just near Fuente Osmena circle. Our total bill was Php 300 something. It's not expensive okay, we just really ordered A LOT. Next time am gonna go back for I haven't tried the Balamban Liempo (They say that it's really delicious and a must try)

Heart of Visayas: Cebu City

Got up early and asked my Dad to accompany me to the domestic terminal. My heart was overflowing with excitement cause finally, after weeks of preparation and internet searching, Cebu now is within our reach.

The weather was fine. I was a bit scared for it's my first time to board a Zest Air plane. Some people say that they always have delayed flights, good thing I didn't experience that. The 1 hour travel from MNL to CEB went smoothly.

When I got off the Mactan International Airport, I just followed what I have read in other blogs - cross the street, go up the stairs and there you'll see a queue of white taxis. If you're a swag or rich enough, you can opt to ride the airport taxi (yellow one). T'was traffic when I got there. Almost a 45mins ride going to our hotel. I paid Php 210 for the fare.

We stayed at Gran Tierra Suites (situated at Midtown Cebu proper near Fuente Osmena circle) the place is very accessible and the rooms are really clean and good. We got a Family room (good for 3pax) for only
Php 1,189 a night. Check in time is 2pm.

After waiting for hours, my bestfriend finally came all the way from Ozamiz. We walked around the busy streets to familiarize ourselves.

The place is really beautiful. Add to that the colorful jeepneys that makes the place even more interesting. Manila is not even at par with Cebu, I think (cause it is way cleaner there). After almost an hour of walking, We decided to go back to the suite to chill and rest while waiting for another friend to arrive (unfortunately, her flight was delayed)
